Plantains are boiled and served with butter as an Ethiopian food recipe.
- 2 green plantains, large and firm
- dash salt
- butter, to taste
- Wash and peel the plantains. Cut into 1 inch pieces and place in a large pot. Cover with water and add salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes or until plantains can be easily pierced with a fork.
- Serve hot with butter.
